1. Light & Shade along Midford Brook – 5 km (circa 1.5 hrs)

​

A gentle, mostly flat circular route beginning on Mill Lane besides the pub. This walk takes you through mixed woodland and open meadow, following the babbling Midford Brook. Highlights include the Grade II listed lock‑up from 1776 (on Mill Lane) and St Michael's Church where WW1 veteran Harry Patch is buried.
